Este artigo busca discutir a dinâmica entre a memória e o esquecimento na leitura que Walter Benjamin realiza sobre Marcel Proust, no ensaio “A imagem de Proust” [“Zum Bilde Prousts”]. O principal objetivo do texto é demonstrar que a estrutura da recordação proustiana aproxima-se mais do esquecimento do que daquilo que, comumentemente, entende-se como memória.This article seeks to discuss the dynamics between memory and forgetfulness in Walter Benjamin's reading of Marcel Proust in his essay “The Image of Proust” (“Zum Bilde Prousts”).
